How to object

How to object to the planning application

The planning application is on the Shropshire Council Online Planning Register and people can send in objections and comments via this link:
https://pa.shropshire.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?keyVal=QDZ7XDTD07U00&activeTab=summary

Please do spend some time preparing your objection beforehand and have a look at the list below and see which topics concern you most and include them if possible. We are happy to help if people want support with writing objections, just email us at
info@savethemeadow.co.uk and we will get in touch.

Here are a few words of advice from Andy Boddington, Shropshire Councillor for Ludlow North:

"When local people look at a landscape, they see it through informed eyes. This is often the greatest contribution that residents bring to the planning process. They understand locality and context in a way a planning committee often cannot. Whether you wish to speak from the heart or write a technical letter of support or objection, your comments are valued.

Writing as a member of the planning committee, I can assure people that comments are read diligently by committee members. Even if we don’t agree with objections and letters of support, we do value hearing views."

There are some important things to note...

  • There is still time - comments will be considered right up to the point that the planning officer starts to the write the report.
  • You can submit further comments if you forgot to say something or if further information comes to light that you want the planning officer to consider.

  • To object to the planning application online, you will need to create an account on the Shropshire Council site; they will ask for your email and postal address
  • The Shropshire Council Online Planning Register site can 'timeout' if you take a long time writing your objection on the screen, so we recommend typing it into a separate document and saving it to your computer first.
